I work as a photographer. The majority of my business consists of shooting homes for real estate agents. They in turn use the photos for their marketing materials and on the web. I rarely shoot model homes, but this week I shot 3 different developments. Now, most of the staging I see happens to be very neutral. I guess the thinking behind that is– appeal to as many people as possible, which makes complete sense. But it does make things a little boring for someone like me who is shooting up to 25 homes a week. So, I have to say I was positively giddy when I walked into a couple of these models this week. These models had so much personality. I’m going to share 2 of my favorites.
First up: A very modern condo. The outside had lots of polished metal and a very sleek feel. As you entered the door the first thing I noticed was the accent color. Tangerine. It was gorgeous. The dining room had great Asian inspired, tangerine chairs with a glass table.
The living room was adjacent to the dining and hosted an orange chair, carpet and accent wall. I love the oranges and the gray together. This place was my last stop on a very hectic day and it made me smile.
Next up: A Family-size Townhouse. The palette used here was a poppy red and what I like to call Tiffany blue. One of my favorite rooms here is the living. I love the rug and the blue sofa, so inviting.

Now this next room was decorated to be a girl’s room and as you know I have 4 boys. So, this room is something I have never experienced, but if I had a daughter I think I’d like something like this. The fabric on the pillow is so adorable. It has a slight retro feel. And the polka dots on the walls were too cute.

What a beautiful home and fantastic pictures. Thanks for sharing them. I bookmarked your site so I can visit often.
